Characteristics:
DINITROL 8542 H is a quick-drying acrylic bonding agent which has been specially developed to meet the requirements in the bus, commercial vehicle and industrial sectors.

Application:
DINITROL 8542 H is used for adhesion promoting pre-treatment when renewing protection on old under seal with factory coatings containing solvents.

Pre-treatment of the contact surface:
The contact surface must be clean and free from grease, dust and rust. All weathered paints must be removed. Sound lacquers must be ground mat. In the case of absorbing contact surfaces, e.g. wood, a pore sealer should be pre-applied to prevent the bonding agent from migrating into the contact surface.

Reworking:
After approx. 15 minutes’ drying time (+20°C) it is possible to continue working with the DINITROL AB 429 IQ underseal and stone chip protection. Adhesion tests are required for other underseal and stone chip protection materials.
