Characteristics:
The DINITROL Activator Plus is a solvent containing adhesion promoting formulation. It’s specifically formulated for the pre-treatment of bond faces in direct glazing work prior to application of various DINITROL polyurethane adhesives. DINITROL Activator Plus improves adhesion on glass, ceramic-coated glass, the cut face of old polyurethane adhesive, polyurethane pre-applied windows glass and paints.
Areas of Application:
The bonding area on the windshields must be clean and free of any residues. For the cleaning we recommend the cleaning agent DINITROL 582. The DINITROL Activator Plus should be applied by the wipe on/wipe off procedure, i.e. in the first step the activator should be wiped on the glass-ceramic surface of the windshield by a tissue, dauber or cotton ball, wetted with the activator. In a second step a residual excess on the surface should be taken off by wiping with a clean tissue. Due to its reactivity with moisture, the opened bottle has to be used within a few days. After this time, or if the DINITROL Activator Plus has become milky instead of clear/slightly yellowish, the product must be discarded. An inactivity of the activator is possible. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only.
