How to become a Treatment Centre

To become an approved Treatment Centre, your business must meet specific pre-existing criteria. Please see the list below of what you will require.

     FACILITIES

  • Have designated wash bay where vehicle can be lifted to a safe working height to allow access to steam clean underbody of vehicle (including cavities)
  • Have a suitable steam cleaner to steam clean underbody of vehicle.
  • Have suitable vehicle lifts to strip vehicle for coating.
  • Have suitable tools to prepare vehicle (wire wheels/needle guns/descaling equipment to remove rust/grease/existing underseals if required)
  • Suitable air compressor (an authorized treatment centre should not apply full coating with aerosols)
  • To be able to supply customer before during after pictures of the whole treatment, documented and saved for future reference.
  • Have suitable application tools for products.

(both 2 post lifts and 4 post lifts are considered suitable. Axle stands on the floor are not considered suitable as it does not allow good access to the underbody whilst coating)

ABILITIES

  • Demonstrate correct preparation of vehicle prior to treatment (removal of parts obstructing treatment, wheel arch liners etc.) and preparation and removal of existing rust/dirt).
  • Demonstrate understanding of what is required in an authorized Dinitrol treatment.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the products and when/where to use each product.
  • Demonstrate ability to prepare car for treatment. Including masking and protecting the vehicle from off spray.
  • Demonstrate ability to apply product to vehicle in correct manner.
  • Demonstrate good and safe working practices.
